4. Modernizing the Miss USA Pageant Rules

Reddy's coronation comes amid broader modernization across the Miss USA organization. The organization has removed traditional age ceilings, allowing competitors above the former 28-year-old limit to compete at the Miss USA level. Eligibility rules now also welcome married women, divorcées, and mothers to compete for the national crown. Additionally, contestants are now restricted to two formal evening gown selections—one for preliminaries and one for the live finals.
